James Finch

ECB Level 2 cricket coach

James was a full time professional with Yorkshire CCC as an off spinning all rounder until the end of the 2009 season.  He is currently playing club cricket for Barnard Castle CC as well as playing for Suffolk CCC in the minor counties championship.

Outside of playing, James also finds time to pass on his expertise to young cricketers.  He is very well respected within the game and is arguably the best coach of young spinners in the county.  James is able to communicate with children well and his sessions are always fun and innovative.  He has previously worked with Yorkshire's age group teams and was the manager of the Yorkshire Schools under 12's B team in 2010.

One of James' biggest assets is that he can pass on to young players exactly what it takes to progress from junior cricket to becoming a full time professional.  You can read more about his experiences in his blog, which you can read by clicking here.
